If we are referring to a betta I sold Fishbreeder, I can tell you that it is a veiltail and has two veiltail parents. It is a juvenile and it has not yet developed a veiltail. Here is a photo of a male from the same spawn.

Thought I would share some pics of my white gas halfmoons. Soon as I clean out some tank space and get the female conditioned I will be spawning these two.

My RO is a 5 stage system, tho I don't use the final carbon filter, not much point so far as I can see. The flow chart looks kinda like this one: RO is probably the cheapest way to get a reliable supply of soft water, with the price of electric the distiller was killing us.

Its an ionic resin filter used for softening water. If you bring it over next time you in wangas I might have something in my box of tricks.

yep, throw away the filter and do 50% water change every 2 days will be fine. If the bubble nest gets broken up he will probably just build a new one if the water is still. All betta are different, they have a lot of personality, and can easily get the sulks if things are not right.

Our fighters hate our Aqua One 620 tank and always hide behind the pump, so we don't put them in it any more. You should probably replace the built in filter with a sponge filter if you want to keep betta in there. If you want to breed the fighters, best to do it in a well set up breeding tank with a bare bottom.

Hi, you can get poly bins for $6-10 at plastic box or similar. Bag each fish seperately, seal up and courier. You wont need heat pads or anything at this time of year. North Island courier will be about $15-20 depending on the size of the box.

Chlorine is pretty short lived and can be broken down fairly quickly by oxygenating such as spraying the water. However chloramine is much harder to break down, and is more popular with water treatment plants for this reason. I do up to 50% water changes without worrying, straight from the hose. However I once forgot to turn off the hose overnight to my goldfish pond and would have had a 150% water change by morning. Many fish died and I guess it was due to chlorine/chloramine buildup.

White worms, daphnia and flake. Microworms and green water for the fry. Fighters love food that moves.
