  3. . What is the dep do you have them at ??? with the heat of homes at the moment you shold have very little heat in the day time and a little heat at night at one end so if they get cold can sit under it ...
  4. They are fine out side in summer and here in Tauranga they go to sleep in winter .. But you can all ways bring them in over winter if you like .
  5. Sorry to say but looks like 2 males .. they can get very aggro when breeding and the poor girls get a lot of bites marks around the head and top half of the body .. But looks like these are fighting ..not mating ... The bigger the tank the better .. even better put them out side in a large rabbit cage with some hay for at night...just make sure there is wire on the bottom so can not get out
  6. Thank you Squirt .. that is right and if the sand is light then I find that when they lay their eggs the hole will fill in as fast as they try to dig it out or will collapse when there down the hole laying their eggs
  7. Have been breeding for about 3 years ( I think ) and they have all ways been on sand ... Just not sea sand ..all ways on river sand ...

  12. Very easy to see if gravid ... you will see white eggs on the sides of the stomach .. they do not need to separated .. I have 4 girls with my one boy in one set up and they are laying just fine at the moment ... You just need a container for them to lay in and some vermiculite to lay in ...

Thermostat with probe Safety cage with Lead 150 w Heat Bulb is all up $190 .. we sell these is you are after some ?? You can use a normal tank just use a plywood lid As for selling any I only have females at he moment ..it has taken me a while to hatch the one male I did get last year and was at the end of the season so hopfully I will get it right this time ...
  16. here are some pictures Some of last years babies ..one male in there ..top left rest females
  17. Nice to see you still going even after all the problems down there
  18. Yes you can keep them out side all year round ...I live in Katikati and they do fine .... You can not breed in Auckland or sell but has far has I now you can have them ??? Some one may say something different and correct me .....
  19. I know some one else that did this and never did get a male from him ..
  20. They all look nice but will not help them to be fertile or hatch I have had good luck so far with vermiculite and click clack containers and just water . I put my container on the scales ... zero it of put in the vermiculite and do a 6 to 4 mix So if the vermiculite weights say 13g then I x that by .666 which is 8.658g then add that back to the 13g ... 21.658 and that is the weight it should be after you add the water ... 21.5g Did very well with this
  21. I do agree with what you are say that people should help if possible .. There is a lot of information that is lost because not all of us will share and that is not just in reptiles but in all animal live .. and yes it will be one of mine and hope all is well ???
  22. There has been breeders that say they have males .. so they say .. and I have been caught myself .. I have brought males that were 100% and all been females when they grow up .. The only male that I have truly brought was one that was about 5/6 months old and is a male ( you can see the right parts by then ) and I have had babies . I have tried myself to do males though dep control with no luck so far but will not give up. I have 2 at the moment that were done at what I thought was the right dep but still waiting to see what they are . They are about 3 months old and still cannot tell .. if there was a better way to know would love to know but with all the research I have found none so far but to wait ..
