  5. People bowing to your expertise. My 9 week old bearded dragon was scarthing at the bottom of her tank tonight? why would this be? She is on glass on 3/4 of the surface, with one 1/4 been covered in sand courtesy of Rockwork (when they came and instaled my amazing wall!!). My other problem/problems is that a) she is not a very good vege eater and b) the one thing she does like wax moth lavae will not be in till nex t week. MY QUESTIONS TO YOU ARE" 1/ will she eat her veges if nothing else available, I did do the baby food as you suggested livingart, not sure it is eating it. 2/ if not what should i try her on as the meal worms don't seem to be a hit.\ 3/ weighed her/him yesterdsay at 12g??? is this ok for a 9 week old, your advise chilli, livingart, Rockwork, Mincie, Repto any all the other please. FIRST TIME OWNER HERE AND SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Hi guys, have you tried a electrical wholesaler, they also sell to the public. places like REXEL on ghuznee st, and few others around town. Give them a ring they will be able to tell you if they have in stock. go in on a good day and the discount could be good (lol). If you know a sparky see if they can source for you, their discounts are often good. hope this helps.
  20. hi everyone. thanks for your feedback and info. Found a book shop with the manual in, so off to get today. checking out enclosure next week from port nicholson man. Then get the important stuff, like lights etc and last but not least find a breeder. will keep you posted. If anyone can help re breeders much appriciated. Also, do you recomend i start of with tiles at the bottom or sand.

  22. We are seriously considering getting a bearded dragon. at the moment doing research via books (haven't got one yet, trying to track some books down. Wellington City library don't carry, so doing the rounds over the weekend to book stores). But wanted to ask the experts, what is it like to own one. 1. How social are they? 2. Are they ok for childrem, the kids are desperate (so am I really) to get one, dad has sais ok, but i need to check if they are fine. 3. Can they get on with other pets? 4. What age should you get one? 5. Should you one get one, are the social creatures 6. Can anyone tell me the best place to get one and what price should i be looking at (so as not to get ripped off?). I know a lot of this would be answered in books, but would love to get from horses (excuse me reptiles mouth). Talking to the man at Port Nicholsons Glass next week re the enclosure, want to get all the i's dotted and t's crossed before looking at purchasing the wee darling/darlings. I look forward to any help/suggestions you may have.
  23. went with the booklet that came with the tank and measured myself.
  24. i wish i had one that big. maybe the next one if me and the kids get our way. We are trying to up the animal intake in the house. Dad has put his foot down at the beared dragon so we have moved onto fish for now. Collecting some fish over the next few days, will tray and take some pics.
