Took this pic a few years ago when my daughter was about 6 years old & very unhappy about dad using her as a size compraisson for the fish
We found it on a walk around Hunua Falls after a big down pour
Never did find out what it was - but it was big & daughter reckons smelly
hi im new here and forgive my spelling but feel strongly about this call to save what is rare
i have own a hermans tortoise and in my years of keeping him ive found
it near impossable (short of finding this site ) to make any like mind contacts i have come across same shocking bad attuides and a lack of any interest to help me as a newbe to tortoise keeping instead i felt noone trusted anyone and this alone couses lose of rare breeds but worse of all is lack free flowing info of tortoise care in nz which makes it hard to provdie the right requiments this also dosent help keep numbers up as the reptile offen suffers from lack of owner unstanding of there pet and isnt it all about the well being of the pets in question people i feel so....
an i openly invite any like minded tortoise owners to come out of the dark and help change this i myself have become a confadant keeper and am willing to help any tortoise keeper im also wanting to meet and talk breeding with any female herman tortoise owners
also anyone wanting to sell there tortoise to a gd home im all ways open to growing my collection of shelled pets just dont tell my wife
