  1. I'd already Pm'd her before you'd posted it They are Inanga, wild caught 8)
  2. Hmm, unfortunately because they are native they don't like chemicals or high temperatures, so I'm stuck with salt, and I'm not sure what maximum dosage I should use.
  3. Just need confirmation. Thanks in advance.
  4. Its actually not the fast, and even then they were hiding around the edges under leaves. But it was still pretty cool =D
  5. Last night we went out to a stream thats only 200-300m from our house that we hadn't tried yet. -.- God knows why we didn't sooner, we found zillions of shrimp, inanga, torrent fish and a decent sized eel. We caught a few of everything, and now it's just a matter of quarantining the things we want to keep, and letting the rest free. Tomorrow morning I'll take some pics of a few of the unknowns (I think I have an eel fry in there?) Also, it seems as with Stella's, the limpets did not survive, I guess they just aren't suited to being moved, or megatrons eating them. Anywho, thanks to those who helped in suggestions.
  6. I squish all the little snails whenever I see them, Mainly because if you don't they get way out of control.
  7. By spent it means it has been used until the point that it is useless for groing plants any more. At least thats what I think it means.
  8. Will, i'm not sure how big they can get, but it will be bigger in captivity then in the wild. Best to ask Stella
  9. Aww =( This one is quite big, he's about 15cm from front to back (not including claws ofcourse =p_
  10. Posting on behalf of Ryan, these are the ones in my tank atm. They are reposts by the way. These are ones we tried to take of them glowing, but we had a bit of trouble with shutter times etc... In real life they are quite a lot brighter though. They are all about 2-3mm, we had a few casualties but I still managed to get around 8 or so onto some rocks and driftwood. Hopefully they survive the Koura as their Tankmates
  11. ... but heres mine =D I set it up a few weeks ago with the help of the information on the forums here and various other people (Including Ryan/OEminX, my brother). Its a 90L Aquaone620 and is currently stocked with: 1 Koura, named Megatron 3 Fresh water mussels Numerous freshwater limpets and some snails that get squished on site On with the pictures! The Tank: This was before the koura decided to re-landscape, there is substantially less green now then there is here. Megatron: Mussels: Limpets: Our best efforts at taking pictures of them glowing One of the victims of the wee little cray: Anywho, that will be all for now. =)
