yah they layed eggs 3 weeks ago and 3-4 days later they ate the fry. and they have layed again on thursday.

ahh around 3-4 weeks, they get to fry stage then get eaten. but the strange thing is they lay the eggs at the worst time well i think because its at the end of the week when the tank is in need of a water change,but every time they have layed them is at that time? i just had a look at them and all the eggs look firtle brown/tan colour well its not hard to see them they live next to my computer.

thankz bud im gonna do it soon just off down to buy another air pump, how upset will my oscars be WILL THEY HATE ME FOREVER,spose they cant coz i feed them and clean the tank and stuff. when's the best time to take them out eg.30 hours affter being layed? cheers.

my oscars have eggs again,the last batch they had 3weeks ago and they made it to the fry stage but then when you think they are safe the parents ate them all. im just watching my male firtalise them,my prob is i want to take the slate and eggs out of the tank and put them in there own tank with meth blue,but my smaller tank hav'nt been cycled is there any really really fast way to do this or does anyone know another way. cheer for all ya help :oops: :oops:

kool i have got blue acaras,afew tiger oscars that made it,lots of white and striped convicts and my kribs are looking like they are gona breed soon.

iv'e got afew different type of cichlides that have breed and i was wondering at wot size is best to sell them?

sweet thats good to know i was going to get a greenterror and put it in with my jd's,but no i dont want one now,i hav'nt got enuff sticking plasters and savlon but i must say they are very nice fish. thanks dude

my pair breed for the first time aweek ago and had alot of babies they got to wriggler stage,then the next day there was only half the amount and the day after that,yesterday there were none. my question is do blue acaras eat there own babies because none of the other fish could get near them.

yah i've got 3 males but in other tanks with partners,could i take the flower pot out and put it in with a pair or would they just eat them?

ive got a single convict in one of my tanks along with two blue acaras and four kribs and she has just layed alot of eggs,but theres no male(convict in the tank). has any one had this before? could she be trying to breed with one of the other fish

my boss in the last 4months has been making tanks around 1100-1200x500x500 and selling on trademe for $60 well most of the time me making them but they are selling so fast, me and him just made a turtle tank 1100x1100x400 with sectioned off corner for sun bathing and he sold it for $200 most of the glass is secondhand that we use and cut down to size to make them,so it's a new tank but old glass(well not to old because its to brittle)does that affect the price? :-?

i've got two of them and they are terror's they tried to take over the tank but the convicts were not having it,in the end they kept on harrasing the other fish so i put them in with my turtle they seem fine. -
two golden algae eaters ones 100mm and the other is 60mm in a 120L tank :evil: :evil:

i just got two acaras,does anyone have any idea's or pic's on what there tank setup should look like so they are happy.cheers :roll: :roll:
