Cool! Stick with those 150W thats what I use & if I say so myself my tank is pretty good(modesty) the skimmer would cope for now but don't overstock,upgrade later easy to sell yours! on the water movement side.....you can never have too much , do you get a pump to go in yr sump with that new tank?

MY POINT.......if you spent $4500 on a skimmer you must be CRAAAAAAAAAAAZY I hope you'll have enough left for your kids education :lol:

Can't comment on the brand but get the biggest skimmer you can afford, this is the most important thing you need! The more "gaps" in your rock the better,less stuff compacting the sand. Man i wish we could get FRESH LIVE ROCK. Put it all in

Hi Nick, If the rock is Live put it all in asap, as for the sand thats a toughy seems that 2" is about right although this could spark debate , good luck Steve

the best thing i ever had for this job was a diatom filter & there's one on trademe at the mo, the one i used was a "system one" hang on jobbie.
