Iv used builders sand for mine, though its hard to clean. It loved it. All plants need light, rush plants are hardy. Look at Japanese rush on trademe Looking at them makes me want to set up a tank with it

Make sure the sand is not sharp It WILL dig into the sand, they love it. Plants WILL get dug up, though id try a reed/rush plant/s

Why should we? People dont get allowed into countired because of convictions on drugs and the such. Though i think a case by case basis is needed, say if they have family that are here and CAN SUPPORT them its fine, -
