never mind guys, poor little guy is gone, just hope that it hasnt spread.

Not sure if this little guy is sick or what but any ideas would be great, just bought him today from my LFS, and he has a slight red mark just by his side fins (??) both sides, its about the size of a pin head. have just done a water change, what concerns me is that we have just put all 7 of our danios into a breeding tank wondering if i remove him and put him back in the community tank just incase would post a pic but the ol' cell phone isnt exactly great for photos, amd camt find any on the net

Definatly had a great time loopy, im gonna have to get some Long Fin Danios off you at some stage tho, we are heading down to organism tomorrow to pick up a wee tank that we can try and bread the danio's we have at the moment in, and see how we go. Curious what do you use (if anything) to filter the tank with mum and dad in, and after they come out, what do you use to filter the water with fry in it? :oops:

Well i have to say, that was quite a good turn out! and quite and impressive set up you have there loopy!

sorry wilson no photo, yeah just may be one of those things, tho what concerns me is that our guppies seem to be dropping like flys, im going to do another water change and hope that brings the water levels down a little

the problem is i got no idea whats wrong with him! he's only about 2 inches long and we have another that is about 3, he literally just floating there, i can still see that he is breathing and that doesnt seem to be forced, but he wont swim, not even with flake or bloodworms in the tank (im thinking he will be gone in the next 24hrs) Water levels are a little higher than normal so did a water change last night, but what i dont understand is that ALL the other fish are fine!! any ideas?

and if its to big to put in a bucket of boiling water? im thinking just to fill the bath with boiling water (well as hot as i can get it) would that work?

well while we are on the subject of getting things for the tanks cheep, where would you go to get drift wood, yes the easy answer is straight off the beach or straight from the river bed (more than likely ive just answered my own question) but if i was to get it straight from there, what do you have to do to it? treat it? or just pressure wash it hard out>?

try ringing redwood aquatics in chch, it may be a fair way to get them shipped, but i actually think they got sum puffers in their last shipment

Hrm. you see Afrikan, i have 2, and they are very peacful ive never once seen them chase any of the other fish, only each other and they seem to love it! its like its a great game, just got a little worried about them altho they dont seem to look like botia modesta as they are alot longer and slimmer. with out the high ridge
