Crikey. so would a fish shop take them off my hands when they big enough. should I cover then inlet to my canister filter

My bristlenose of 6 yr's has been up to no good and now i have tiny tot's swimming around my community tank. Any ideas on how to care for them or just let them be and they will be fine? I have counted about 17 and he is tucked away in a peice of wood and it looks like he is fanning his fin's, does that mean he is gaurding more eggs? thanks

I got one of these tank's, got it in a $10 bag of crap sale off that 1day site not long ago. haven't set it up.

i have a cf-1000 and when i clean it i fill up with water turn it on and give the filter a few shake's until all the air is out, hope this help's.

Is it brand new? are you sure there is an impeller in it or is sumthing blocked because it should just start flowing water through straight away. I got caught once with the spray bar off and pluged it in and had a big water fountain going up into the air, water everywhere :roll:

I have an ar850 aswell, if it is the stock filter pump just plug it in and it will start pumping, i never had to suck on a hose to get it going, just make sure the water level is right to the top of the tank, i got sick of the trickling sound of the water and fairly quickly went out and brought a cannister filter for thier quietness.

yup i done the same on my 850, i had the canister running for a week then got rid of the trickle filter, it is nice having a silent filter.
