  1. Thanks.. yep Chimera, good point on the centre one.. Did not want it too low to suck up lots of gunk. Aquascaping? .. dont I dump the rock in? Then fiddle for months after that? Not had a great deal of thought about the aquascaping other than thin sand and rock in the middle. Floor 1500 x 600.
  2. Plan on power heads as well. I have two old aqua clear 802's. Trying to think ahead and get extra's done now ... even if I blank it off and dont use it for now. Reckon easier than drilling down the line when tank is in use. Keen to do both to get good water flow coverage. Overflow on the right two stand pipes also 40 mm. Going to give the durso type a go. 3. Hey all setting up a marine reef tank. any comments on the physical placing of the bulkhead fittings as indicated here . Bottom would be take off and some sort of switching device to alternate the return to the above bulkheads. Planning to have some sort of directional control on the return bulkheads to deflect/direct flow. Any ideas coment would be appreciated. More plans to follow but keen to get the tank drilled and home while the rest is planned like pumps etc. Chrs
  4. Thanks Bubbles, did not even think about it from that perspective. Chrs
  5. Hi, well been planning for years and finally made the big move... bought a tank. Wohooo... measure twice cut once etc so your thoughts and collective experience is most appreciated. Tank 150 x 60 x 60. Cabinet divided into 3 equal sections.. approx 45 internal space between dividers. Planning on sump with refugium. The divider/walls are load bearing so can axe them too much. The two end sections have made holes in the back of the cabinet. So with the 3 x 45 space constraints. Do I put two sumps in, one on each end ... skimmer and filter in one and filter plant life etc in the other? Needs two pumps though. Two overflows... one on each back corner or a bigger dual in the centre feeding both sumps? Linking the sumps and option? Not sure how that would be very reliable and not cause flooding. At this stage not sure on skimmer would like to go deltec but quite pricey. Chrs
