1. I try to avoid climbing in .. I'm not sure the base glass would withstand concentrated pressure like my foot ... instead I use my opposing thumb, and use tools 2. punch them .. you think I'm joking don't you ... I have a giant gourami, and a silver arowana, both attack during cleaning, and they get swatted ... I have severums that like to chew on my hair when it falls in the tank 3. don't know 4. size matters :lol:

Crikey .. I have 1x 300W in 1000Litres. heavily insulated with polystyrene. 2 sides have 150mm thick poly, and the stand is fully insulated with poly. Tank located in my lounge, and the heater runs for about 2-3 hours per day

use a sump big enough so that if the power fails, the sump can fill without overflowing I have 1000litres, pumping 4500 l/hr, using a 200litre sump with a precisely measured fill line. meaning I never EVER fill the sump above the fill line (which is about 3/4 full). that way if the power fails the sump will fill but not overflow

well on sunday I went to Wairau park, silverdale, and three kings. Nothing f interested that would fi t my tank at all what other parts of the country ? is there something for sale somewhere that is at least 6 inches long and will mix with an arowana? I'd love a Borneo Tiger that 6 inches or a lung fish maybe

In decmeber I sold a "huge" silver arowana .. and an ever "huge-er" knife fish to jansens. I delivered them to the North shore/Albany shop ... Well today I got a phone call from jansens, saying the fish are well, and I should come and spend my $400 that they are giving me for the 2 fish 8) so I am hoping that you guys will be able to help me. I want a new tank mate or mates for my tank at home, which at the moment has 1 silver arowana 27cms long, and one giant gourami that is 30cms long .. and redspot pleco that is 37cms Joel from Jansens North shore mentioned the existence of a Large Borneo tiger .. .that would be cool .. ... if you guys in Auckland have seen anything else that would fit my tank, and is interesting/rare/different I would love to hear your comments cheers TA
