  1. Use a tablespoon of bicarb of soda in the water with the BS eggs -- this increases the hatch rate , position directly under the light, or set up an additional 24 hr bright as possible light , they need both light and high ph as well as right temp and oxygen. :roll: good luck!

Hi , I live in Sunny Tauranga, and more importantly have only 10 tanks ... 2 are outdoor with sailfin guppies and 1/2 and 1/2s I have some great little platys with black fins and red bodies, and have started breeding corydoras sterboi and Blue gouramis , 500+ babies at present... I also have bristlenoses X 12 and neons and golden Gauramis and a black sailfin molly to remind me that I bred a fair few mollies in the past ... I teach biology at a highschool. Work is Play

  12. 8) , So I'm feding them infusoria and egg yolk cooked (thanks Alan!!!) I'm changing 20 litres of water every 2 days , is there a easy way to get the water out without Using a spoon and a bright light? i DON'T WANT TO FLUSH ANY AWAY... idealistic I know!
  13. Opaline Gourami - eggs are everwhere HELP!I'm Wide eyed and inexperienced , I've somehow manaed to get about a 1000 eggs... the timer has started 14 hours to go till they hatch! THEN WAT DO I DO , HOW OFTen shold I change the water etc..... any Ideas rom those that have bred them? or similar species.
