Iducan is your tank BB? Ive been reading alot on rc about cooking rocks. It seems like it has a good theory behind it. Was wondering whether or not you need to do it to dead dry rock? wonder if the diatom bloom is caused by decaying matter when cycling the tank..

Thanks alot guys, Brianemone: parameters Ammonia- 0 Nitrite- 0 Nitrate- undetectable (salifert) Phosphate- 2 PH- 8.3 sg- 1.025 temp- 24.5ish calcium- 350 alk- 7.5ish Overflow was like a toilet! but i shoved an elbo piece ontop, cant see it because its black and faces the other way and it stopped the noise Not too worried about the calc and alk atm as im going to be sorting that out when the big tank is up. Ive been reading alot on the site before i actually registered but have noticed heaps of lil arguments around, and yes i would think it would put people off. jetskisteve the bug has bit hard, musta been a big bug, coz ive sold all my discus now.......... will be in touch with you soon.
