  1. Sodium bicarbonate or baking soda raises ph Epsom salt will raise hardness Raise it slow and give the tank a 20% water change every 2nd day over a week to bring it back Use an alkaline substrate to buff the water to a workable 7.5-8.0ph Chris D

    Hi All Unfortunately we are restricted in our import list also her in Oz but I like what your list will allow in cichlids and catfish But I think we have a more active black market in non allowable species that somehow just show up Chris D 8)

  7. 8) Hello all I felt I had to join in here after reading Bills comments on the VCS forum I have been keeping fish since I was a kid *the goldfish in the concrete laundry tub* it kept the tadpoles company that I brought home So 30 odd years later I keep mainly cichlids and catfish but Aust. natives pop up now and then Looking forward to some interesting posts :lol: Chris D 8)
