Thanks for that-makes sense as the female is doing same thing now. I was concerned he had same thing other one had. Do you have any ideas what he may have had? I think possible over feeding but how do you work out amount to feed a community tank?

Please see my recent post and pic.I now have another sick gourami-water tests still all ok.This one is going to top of tank all the time and blowing bubbles.He has no physical marks but his scales are slightly raised. He died-he was a nice fish.I will try to upload photo-no close up as wife had flushed him before I had a chance.The white spots were more like leasons not fluffy or raised.Youi can just see them by his head. http://images.snapfish.com/345449992323 ... 6433ot1lsi

Update-he is still hanging in but has small white marks around front-not too many and not spotty-also he is going to surface for air more than normal. From what I've read this doesn't appear to be whitespot but is there any harm intreating for it in case it is??

Don't think its that as only one spot in the middle of each eye.

Also noticed he is having trouble swiming around especially up to top of his tank?All other fish are fine-he's in a community tank.

My Gourami is looking a bit down-only obvious sign is he has a white spot on each eye?Can someone please help?? Water tested all ok,I don't know what sort he is,he's sort of browny stripe with orange along the bottom edge and tail.

Do you have to clean off the compost before feeding them to the Fish? Does anyone have some White Worms so I can get some going or were do you get them?

120 ltr tank,3x gourami,4x dwarf gourami,2x swordies,1x plattie,15 neons,4x danios.

Every 2 weeks and 25%.

Tap water is 7.4.

Tankl is 130 ltrs,been going about 3 mnths,no driftwood,Gourami,Tetras,Swordies and guppies are inhabitants.

Thanks for that-shes in a community tank-was hiding and he kept going to see her.We thought something was wrong so gave them a feed.She came out and keeps hanging around a bunch of weed and other fish are interested as well. Can you see the fry?

The reason I asked is because I have just replaced an old heater with no definition on the controller with a new one and had to turn it up to 32 deg(its maximum) to get the tank up to 25-25.6 deg.I had it next to a long air stong so I turnt that off and have dropped the heater to 29 deg and tank is sitting at 26-26.8.The heater is for tanks up to 100ltrs and mine is 90 lts.

Where in the tank is the best place to place the heater?Some pics would be great.

Thanks for that.The new filter has a cartridge that is quite small in surface area but it is 200ltrs per hour.Am I better to fill filter with media and floss instead of using cartridge? One of by Gourami has started sitting on the bottom of the tank-is this normal?
