Notes: The Yellow Eye Tang is probably one of the best Tangs for helping to control the growth of undesirable algae. A great fish for reef aquariums, it will not bother corals, clams, or invertebrates, and it is not aggressive towards other fish with the possible exception of conspecifics. Use caution when keeping with other tangs of similar shape such as the Chevron Tang. Keep only one Yellow Eye Tang per aquarium. Provide plenty of live rock for it to graze on.
Feed a diet rich in vegetable matter including frozen herbivore foods, dried seaweed, or live macro algae.
