I'm going to be in Wellington over the weekend; any interesting fishie-shops worth visiting?

Not Wellington but If you have time try the one's in CHCH as I went around the ones in Dunedin 2 weeks ago and it seems that fish prices are about 20% cheaper in CHCH.

you could also stop into the hutt pet centre aswell, and if you are around all weekend my place is always open to visitors, and i will be home Sat night and Sunday day(tank cleaning day) no plans as yet for monday, so get in touch if you want to come round for a cuppa.

Best place in Welli is Animates bottom of Ngaranga Gorge, on th Hutt Rd, good set of freshwater tanks and a good range of fish. Not the cheapest place, but worth the visit.

Oops , Dubbieboy, that should have been bottom of Ngaio Gorge.

Hutt Rd is a continuation of Thorndon Quay, a 10min walk from the back of the Welli railway station.

It's really sad when the best fish store is Animates. When I win lotto I'll fix that.

Thanks folks for all your suggestions; will try and check some of them out if I get half a chance...

And thanks Ballistic for the offer of a brew which I would most surely take you up on but sadly this trip will probably not allow time. But cheers anyway mate.
