i have my own male betta an he is great but i have been given another by a lady who was going away an i have to say i have had him for the last 3 days an he doesnt hardly move.. you would think he is dead..

hes in a like 20 litre round glass bowl an stones really basic he came with it all, he should be a nice red colour an he is rather dull looking, he seems to like to hang around the top of the bowl

i was just wondering if there is something wrong with him or the set up. :-?

does this said glass bowl have a heater in it?

nope it doesnt my one has a heater in it. but the lady told us he has lived in the bowl for almost a year an is fine... now im not an expert on these thing an i was super sure it should have a heater

It has no heater; so unless he is in a very warm room that is perpetually warm he may "survive" but won't be happy being tropical and all

well if the fighter with the heater is swimming round and has good colour,

and the fish without is lying around looking rather sad, then a safe bet to say he needs a heater.

our fighters give you the evil eye if their temp gets below 25!

thanks heaps yeah i have had a few an have never not had a heater in the tanks. best i better go get him a new set up.. dont like the round bowl thing lol!
