Cause for concern?

Featured Replies

Hello, Dylan here.

I was looking at my Brothers tank, and there are 3 platys in it amongst other fish. Theres a boy and two girls.

But as i watched i noticed that the boy could stop chasing one ( note just one) of the girls around the tank. And seriously he would not give up!

I'm worried she will die of stress. Any words of wisdom for this concern newbie?

Yeah that can always be a problem with not enough females to a male and yes the females do get harassed to death.

Ok i have now moved the male to an isolated tank. Thanks for you help :D

Are there lots of hiding places for the girls as well? I've read where doing, as you stated, a "time out" with fish does work sometimes.
