Greek Tortoise - Leopard Gecko Swap?

Featured Replies

Are the Leopards legal?? After the Whites Frog thing that went horribly wrong for you, just wondering?? Last thing anyone wants is a swap and then losing their new pets.

Yes the leopards are legal. Swap you one for 600 red ears?

pretty sure they can be traced back to orana park in chch when it first started and had some sort of financial difficulties ?At one time I think it was all but shut down?Believe it or not no one wanted them???(the leopard geckos)and Eric Fox(otorahanga kiwi house) took them to save them.A few went to Ti point and The akld Zoo had a few at one time. The numbers have been up and down but due to lack of temperature breeding knowledge/care no males were bred and all of a sudden there was only one breeding male. This is as I understand from what I have been told, some points may be not exact but happy to be corrected where necessary?

Not to say other imports may or may not have happened by fair means or foul?

Heard same story from Orana

So part of it must be true Repto...lol

Been here for a long time. were all in Orana but got scattered when park was struggling.

Some one did research and around we go again.

what you got? repto, yes that matched what i have been told, also apparently they are allowed to be transferred to the public because orana and otorohanga licences were 'general'..whatever that means..chinese whispers
