Desh's Tank

Pics I took last weekend

Very Nice!

That looks like a pretty deep tank (not height). Just how big is it.

It's very impressive, getting marine urge's...

Desh your tank looks great, and your photos are excellent too. I have heard very nice things about your tank from others.

Why stop at 4 photos though? More please.

Warren: It is time! Order that rock and lets get started Fiji will be some much better if you don't think of it as a 'meeting' and start thinking of it as a 'research project'.

Pies

Already am!

Tank is a corner tank. Either side is 1.2m, at the front it is approximately 1.7m, height 750mm.

I have arranged all the stony corals right at the top since I don't have any space at the bottom due the massive lather coral I have.

lighting 3 150 W DIY MH 14 000 K

4 blue tubes

DIY skimmer (need to upgarde)

That’s all the equipment I have.

I visited Redwood Aquatics yesterday and their display tanks are looking awesome. Going back to Chch on Monday so hope to take some pics and do a report for the AW

Still no Acros or any sps at Redwood yet though Caryl. Which is a shame cause their big tank would look great as a sps tank.

My dealings with Redwood Aquatics have been far from Ideal. I had problems with some stock I purchased from them and their attitude and customer service was shocking. Poorly treated stock and an arragant attitude from Bob a 20 year vetran who can't even make the effort to correctly identify stock or gague their stocks health.

i cant image redwoods display tank looking anywhere near the quality of the tanks in this forum.

so how can they be awesome? i bet they run a berlin skimmer on their reef tank.

As I know nothing about marines I cannot comment on quality as such. By awesome I meant size - they certainly attract the customer to go look at them.

It is also very hard to compare small pics on a web site to actually viewing the real thing as you don't get the effect of scale. I am sure I will be blown away by pies' set-up at the weekend.

pleasant and to the point as always Alois
