Hi Dave,

the only place that has naturally occuring dolomite in New Zealand is Mt Burnett in Nelson/ Golden Bay area.

So unless you visit Welly harbour you will have to find a landscaping place that sells it. Dolomite is a form of limestone (calcium magnesium carbonate).

Other forms of limestone (minus the magnesium) will be okay and there are limestone quarries in the north island.

The place I was going to get dolomite from here doesn't have anymore, the last of the rocks went some time ago. Now all I can get is chip. :-? Fortunately, the person who got the LAST of the dolomite from there is gonna be pulling their tank apparent, so I will be buying them in a couple months. But I can't find a place in CHCH that has any more dolomite rocks.
