PENEJANE
it could be Thread Algae: Greene algae Problem: Long thing green threads hanging on leaves and decorations Possible cause: Insufficient nutrient competition by aquatic plants Immediate measure: In early stages, Platies and Black Mollies will eat them. Paraguay Darter Tetras (apareiodon affinis) eat many kinds of algae (don't know if these fish are available in NZ) Remove algae threads with a net or roll them up with a round brush. (old tooth brush will do). Preventive and long-term measures: Enhance plant growth In case of high pH and KH values use peat in the filter circuit. I hope that this helps. Its the only thing that I can think of that would look "cobweb" like. Cheers :bounce:
