ghostface Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 step 1. consume vodka until you don't care about the algae anymore. but seriously, the recommended dosage is 1 ml per 100l water per day. prob best to split it into a morning and night dosing instead of one big one once a day. i think cracker swears by Smirnoff black label, the triple-distilled 50% stuff. suphew Posted July 20, 2006 Report Share Posted July 20, 2006 I'm not convinced vodka works, I dosed my tank for a couple of months, and built up almost double the reccommended dose before I gave up. Stopped doseing and 2 weeks later algae break out! But I believe I have a clean tank with voddies, its 8 mths old, started with dead rock and it looks good (clean) to me.
