beachy
My brother has a 2'x2'x2' planted cube, and we were talking about upgrading his lights. At the mo he has 4x 20w T8's, he was talking about getting a m/halide after seeing mine, and i suggested t5's. Is anyone using T5's on a planted tank? i thought that it might be the way to go,because its quite deep the T8's arent really as effective. Warren
I've used them for a short time and found they worked pretty well. Better than T8's but not as good as MH. Seemed to be about 1/2 way between.
beachy
Thanks Warren, i will have a chat with him, see how hardout he wants to get with growing his plants, he is more worried about the plants at the bottom not doing that well. lorenceo
I use t5's on my tank. Daylight tubes from Diverjohn. They work really well.
