Algae eating fish(recommendation)

Featured Replies

I just put in a Kole Tang done a sweet job on my tank better then the purple and yellow put together and doesn't seem to worry what type of algae either, they have a large mouth just for the job.

i had a foxface rabbitfish, wasnt too interested in algae, a bit of luck as to what you get. how about fixing whats causing the algae rather than trying to get something to eat it? is algae excessive or just needs trimming? snails should be enough to keep it at a minimum if you have everything else right

Yea, i would say phosphate, cause my nitrates are zero. I havnt got a po4 test kit yet  , its hair algae, and its only on a few pieces of rock near the top, so its not out of control but its starting to get worse. Maybe i should run some Rowaphos, see if it makes any difference.

Bi-colour blenny. I have one that does a great job. On the down side he has a taste for polyps....

Yea they are nice looking, so is it just yours that likes polyps? or are they not really reef safe?
