Duke
Lighting 1 x Arcadia Series 3 (2 x 150W and 2 x T5 blue) I have an Arcadia T5 setup with 4 x T5's. As my Series 3 unit has 2 x Blue T5's can I change the two blue bulbs too white in the T5 setup? This would mean I will have 2 x 150W 2 x T5 Blue 4 x T5 white Will this be enough? 1450 x 750 x700 tank
kevan
from what I've seen with mine I think 2 x 250 plus some T 5 's would be the go . I' ve have now got 2 x 150 plus 1 x 250 but it looks clutered over tank .

Duke
Thanks Keven... this is a very nice tank and simple to operate. I will definatly be using this post as a referance. suphew
Rule of thumb I have been told and use is one MH every 2 feet, plus your tank is quite deep. I was buying from scratch I would go 3x250w but since you already have the lights why not try them out and replace later if you find they aren't enough. Also I wouldn't try and compensate lack of MH by spending $ on T5's, they take up too much room for too little light output, IMHO are best used for adjusting the colour, i.e. running blue tubes. wasp
That's pretty interesting about the lighting on that TOTM, I ddin't think it would be enough to achieve what he has, but obviously, the results are good.
