Aquatopia Posted March 15, 2006 Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 Knead-IT purchased from Bunnings, about $15 - malleable into both bits of rock to create a good join. Make sure you push it in to all the area you want to join to create a good "lock". It stinks until its cured (matter of hours, thats all) and isnt kind to your hands so best to wear latex gloves if you have them or wash hands well straight after. suphew Posted March 15, 2006 Report Share Posted March 15, 2006 Make sure you get Aqua-knead-it I'm not sure if the normal stuff is ok in water. It cure's under water to, and is safe to use with fish etc in there, it's commonly used in marine tanks to attach corals to rock. point to note from POMEREEF is that it isn't a glue, it sets rock hard but until it sets things can move round. Warren Posted March 16, 2006 Report Share Posted March 16, 2006 Freshwater or Marine? If it's freshwater, rocks suitable for the aquarium will not react with acetic cure silicones so you can use it. If it's for marine then ?? As a last resort, you could use a clear concrete primer on the rock then standard acetic cure silicone will stick... cookie extreme Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 zeovit makes a great product (speed glue) that cost about the same has aqua-knead-it. but it looks like rock from day one. its a kind of concrete powder that will set hard within 5 minutes above and under water. and it doesn't look ugly for month before its covered with coraline algae. looks superb with SPS frags from day one, don't think i will ever go back to epoxy. :bounce: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
