Tezza
HI There. I have aquired what I believe to be very large goldfish measuring between 30 and 35 cm in length. Some are completely gold others multi coloured and speckled. Round fat and healthy no sign of any whiskers or anything to suggest from my research that they are koi carp but needing confirmation of this characteristic. They have come from an extremely large pond and I live in the Far north of the North Island. I have been told by the previous owner they are goldfish but want to make sure as the size of them makes me wonder. Would appreciate any input. Jo1
Koi have barbels and can grow far bigger than that. If you are really worried I am sure Biosecurity would come and take a look.
mustcooktea
It sounds to me like you have goldfish that prove just how big they can get given the best conditions for growth! Good luck with them. MCT
