Brown Tiger Whiptail Spawn

CatBrat

Recommended Posts

Yay!!! I just went out to feed my fish and found a nice sized spawn from my Brown Tiger Whiptails. This is my first Whiptail spawn, so hopefully it will go well. I know whiptail babies are generally hard to raise, but I will have to see what I can manage with rasing the bubba's.

I didn't really do anything to trigger the spawn, just a cold water change on the weekend with fresh rain water, and that was it.

I will try to get some pic's tommorow.

Cheers, CatBrat.

*edit:* Whoops got them name wrong, they are BROWN Tiger's not white tigers.

Finally got my camera back, so I can post an update. I missed a few days in the middle grrrrrr (I shouldn't leave my camera places when I need it! DOH!), but here they are anyway...

Day 3: you can start to see the fry developing inside the eggs...

Missed the next few days, but the eggs continued to develop weel and became a lot darker brown.

Then 30mins ago my first baby Whiptail!! YAY!...
