wasp
By the mark on the impellor blade it looks like it's had an impact with a foreign object, could that have something to do with it?

Ira
Even the almighty, omnipotent, hung like a horse Tunzes risk breaking if a hard object goes into the impeller....

slappers
streams burn out
lduncan
They shouldn't burn out. They have intelligent power control. Basically it can tell when the impedance (electrical resistance) of the pump changes (like if the impeller gets stuck) and kills power to the pump, and it turns that irritating screeching alarm on. It's there to stop the pump from any physical damage from overheating, and burning the windings out. The only problem i've had with a stream was after about 3 years, one of the built up calcium deposits around the rotor which stopped it from turning. A soaking in vinegar fixes it. jetskisteve
True they shouldnt burn out, but there had to be one-mine It was a 6080 the non controlled model, I wonder if they dont have the smarts that the others have?
lduncan
Pretty sure they all have it. It's inside the (formerly blue) aluminium box at the end of the pump. It's the first i've heard of a stream crapping out.
