Duke
I think I might have made a mistake. I added a couple of hermit crabs and a small crab to my tank from the beach a couple of months ago. The hermits are doing great and I'm going to get them some new shells in the weekend. But I have not seen the crab for a long time. Last night I turned on a light to look at the tank after lights out and saw the crab. It was huge. Started out about the size of a 10c but now is much bigger than a 50c. Have not seen it since but this this was massive. What do I do? I have a chiller and the tank runs at 25C... should I slowly increase temp and cook the thing? It will die before evrything else. Just a thought but not a serious one. looked like such a good idea at the time!!! This thing might eat me shrimps and coral and eveything else. I have only seen it once so a picture is not on. wasp
Ha Ha! It's not something you'd really do in a tank that was a joke On oil rigs when they do repairs deep under the water, they film everything. That is one of those films. It was real deep, the water pressure was more than a ton per square inch. Pressure inside the pipe they were cutting was close to zero. Then an unsuspecting crab walked along!! HelifaxNZ
It almost looked like a circular saw cutting it to pieces just that the pieces disappeared!
