HelifaxNZ
Hi folks, I just saw a solar powered flouro for garden sheds, etc. It charges up the batteries then you can flick on the 2x 8w flouro's Supposed to last approx 5 hours. Was very tempted to buy it, but I really need a light sensor for a switch so when the main lights go off, this will switch on for the sump. Anyone have any suggestions? Can you dismantle a garden light and use that sensor to wire it all up?
Ira
I think Jaycar has light sensor switches. Just use that to trip a relay, maybe. Be less than buying a whole fitting just for the sensor, I'd imagine. Of course, you could also do what everyone else does, buy a cheap timer. Thunderstorm
or anoither easier way would be to hook up a 240v/240v relay to ya main lights after the timer, wire it so when the timer comes on the sump light circuit is open making the lights off, after the required on time the timer turns the main lights off making the sump circuit closed and the sump lights are on after main lights are out
