Caryl
Well Google "columnaris" (Flexibacter columnaris) and you will find plenty of information. Never heard it call saddleback disease though
LYNDYLOO
I will have to agree with Caryl, never heard it called saddle back before, and wasn't aware of the white fluffy fungus type stuff that froms on the fishies back, I was told, from a very good pet shop in Palmy North, that Colomanaris is when the fishes spine is curved or droopy, and it looses the ability to swim properly. :-? alanmin4304
I think saddle back is a different disease but I don't know a lot about it. columnaris is a bacterial disease which needs to be treated with antibiotics. It usually results in other opportunistic fungal or bacterial infections which must also be treated and are often the signs first noticed. alanmin4304
Sorry I put you wrong. saddleback is columnaris and should be treated with Furan 2 from the pet shop (same as mouth fungus)
