kylefish02
We are in NZ so we cant get eggs in as it is illegal cheers Kyle
JMª
I do not know it. I so sorry. I suppose that the laws will be for preventing the invasion of nonnative species. To being NZ an island you have species that are not in another parts of the world, and that must take care of.
Alan
Those fish that you mentioned JM are allowable. But the eggs, because they can't be identified, are not allowed. Even tho they can be transported in a sterile condition that would be safer than an adult fish having to go thru quarantine etc. Alan
Bluetom
could you not hatch them in quarentine(sp)??
Alan
I'd like to think so but the way MAFia is at the moment, not much point asking them Then they still have to grow on to identifiable fish I would think that to do that, it would have to be an enthusist doing ot privately Alan

Werner
Good idea Southern Man. It would be good to get more people interested down here - just wait until they see the fish!
Alan
Not only would I allow it, I'd encourage it. I'm hoping Auckland does the same. The Napier area is also gettig a reasonable number of members too. Maybe they'd like to consider it too. When all is said and done, it is just a gathering of like minded ppl gathering together, sharing experiences. ideas, views, problems, and possibly fish, eggs, and anything else. Sounds all good to me. Auckland use to do it years ago. Alan
