wasp
The fan will likely only keep it cool enough if you have the air vented to somewhere, not just recirculating.

slappers
And the tap on yr skimmer should be closed a little to about 2 oclock :-? i will do that now
reef
to get the skimmer working well it is best to lower the water level in the skimmer and have the tap fully open. After 1 week set the airflow to 2oclock and raise the wtaer level halfway up the neck. The reason for this is that the skimmer needs to build up a slim coat inside the cup to start to skim well. Set up looks great
slappers
plumbing 99.9% finish. just got to put some baffels in the other sump so with the baffel do they go right accross the sump like back wall to front off tank or do you leave a 40mm gap
Brianemone
nice foam youve got going on. the only purpose of the baffles it to control first bubbles and second water height. 40mm would be fine on a sump that wide

HelifaxNZ
Definately looking really good. Thought I would read the whole thread this time. Page 11, Ball Valves. I got mine from LG Gardner for $10.78 and $13.47. First 2 I bought from the North Shore branch and they only had 2 in stock, so went to the City branch and they charged a little more! Page 13, great to see your wife helping! How did you do that? Spill all, what's your secret/bribe? What were the egg crates for? I couldn't quite see them in your tank. Have you got a RCD in your power plugs? And last of all, you could install those venting units that go in the ceiling and just pump the hot air into your ceiling cavity or straight out of your roof. reef
Water looks very crystal clean you need some more fish. Only should add fish slowly, new tank so adding many fish could cause problems. bactaria takes time to grow.
