to get the skimmer working well it is best to lower the water level in the skimmer and have the tap fully open.

After 1 week set the airflow to 2oclock and raise the wtaer level halfway up the neck.

The reason for this is that the skimmer needs to build up a slim coat inside the cup to start to skim well.

Definately looking really good. Thought I would read the whole thread this time.

Page 11, Ball Valves. I got mine from LG Gardner for $10.78 and $13.47. First 2 I bought from the North Shore branch and they only had 2 in stock, so went to the City branch and they charged a little more! :o

Page 13, great to see your wife helping! :lol: How did you do that? Spill all, what's your secret/bribe?

What were the egg crates for? I couldn't quite see them in your tank.

Have you got a RCD in your power plugs?

And last of all, you could install those venting units that go in the ceiling and just pump the hot air into your ceiling cavity or straight out of your roof.

the misses don't mind helping shes loves doing the things i pass on to her :D give her a plug and she will wire it no worries, give her a piece off pipe and she will glue it.So its all clear now why we have a misses :D.

put the last two fish in the tank that i had left they seem happy to get out off the plastic container that they have been in for the last 2 months.well its time to stock up :D

haven't finished the plastering yet but soon be there
