nickyboi Posted September 7, 2005 Report Share Posted September 7, 2005 My pH is sitting around 7.8 - 8 and I want it around 8.2 I have oyster shell in the tank to help buffer it, but was wondering if this product I have "pH UP" will do any good? And if so how much per litre? Its vague instructions read "Add a sufficient quantity....." I got them off a breeder who has them breeding in pH7.0 cos that's what his tap water is and he doesn't like to muck around with water chemistry. I haven't tested my water in years. You should see the great water quality we have here. :-? Brisbane has 3 different water sources to different areas, all different hardness & Gold Coast has 2 different sources....... :-? beachy Posted September 8, 2005 Report Share Posted September 8, 2005 My lfs keeps its mals at a ph of 7, if you decide that you do want to raise the ph some more, try a few pieces of coral. Hollywood sells bags of coral rubble for quite cheap, you could stick some in your filter if you can, or scatter some around the tank.
