kat
Has anyone kept these lil beasties? I'm thinking of converting one of my spare tanks for keeping them. However I know next to nothing about their needs.

Angus
Hey Kat We kept some for a while. I bought three, and things went fine for a while. We fed them fruitflies while they were small (little bigger than a thumbnail) and then moved onto houseflies (can buy both from petshops as unhatched) once they were bigger. Then one day we came home, and three had become two and one didn't eat for a long time after and grew alot larger than the other one  ........ and then two became one not long after that  We couldn't find any mention of cannabalism in any information, so it kinda remains a semi unsolved mystery.... but........ The last one lived on for about a year afterwards (we were too scared to put any new friends in). HTH Angus
WTM
Has anyone kept these lil beasties? I'm thinking of converting one of my spare tanks for keeping them. However I know next to nothing about their needs. We've got four of the little beasties... what specifically do you want to know?? There is a good book you can get through pet stores (can't remember it's name right now, but will check when I get home) and it's pretty helpful. As for converting the tank, the main thing is you need to make it escape proof, both for the frogs and their prey. Also they're an arboreal (sp?) so the tank needs to be high (45cm was a recommended height).
