polgara
Is there anywhere to get this stuff in teh waikato or auckland region for cheaper than what you pay at the stores, if you are after a large amount it gets quite exspensive to buy it in sacks from hollywoods. Joshie
I'd love to know myself, but I have heard Oyster shell grit for bird shops is usually a good alternative. Basically being crushed shells will raise pH, just more pale a colour than I wanted for my tank. for big setup's however, grit would be cheaper to obtain. Cyberfin
Bear in mind that bird grit is not perpared for aqarium use. It can have impurities.
petplanet
What about crushed marble. 2mm size. Comes in a 25kg sack. Costs about $50 for a sack. VERY white.
