Faran
I just spent a while reading other forums in other parts of the world about the whole Eheim-Jebao comparison. Some people say that they just cloned the outer shell, others (that own them) say they're the same. No real way to tell unless someone has both and compares them, aye? Snowman
Just wondering if the Jeboa Eheim thing is like some of the bearings we sell at work, could put 2 brands next to each other and you couldn't tell the difference, 1 is twice the price of the other, the cheap one is crap metal and equally crap grease (chinese as well) the dearer one has 3 times the life expectancy. Point is just because something looks the same is no guarantee it is. I haven't tried the Jebao so can't say it's good or bad but i have 4 Eheim filters and it's the only brand i would buy as i have never had any problems with any of them. Tanksman
Three times the price but will it last three times as long? Hopefully
lorenceo
Dont buy cheapo filters, the damn things start leaking after about a year  I've got all Eheims now, and I love them 8)
madcookie
I've got Eheim, Fluval, and Via Aqua (Now known as 'Aqua One') external filters. The Via Aqua performs flawlessly, just liek the Eheims....Has been in constant use for about three years now, just like the Eheims, but didnt cost a weeks salary to purchase. Caryl
I have Eheim, Fluval, AquaClear, Shark and Jebo. I gather the Jebao is a different one again but I have not seen one. My Eheim is a wet/dry and I would never touch another again - even with a 10 ft barge pole. I have a Fluval 403 and 404. OK but awkward to cleanout and flow rates drop dramatically very quickly. AquaClear is over 10 years and still using original parts (inc sponge). Love them but design means a gap in the lid which is a problem. Sharks are internal and work well. Easy to clean. The 2 Jebos have been running less than a year so I don't know about longevity but I love their performance so far. Very quiet.
