Angus
Hi guys Does anybody have any experience keeping bristlenose with discus? From what i've read, bristlenose are nocturnal and hence shouldn't be kept with discus. Does anybody have any stories which suggest otherwise? I've never kept b/n before  Cheers Angus
Faran
Hi Angus, Where did you read not to keep BNs with Discus? I once had a horrible experience with a pleco trying to "clean" my discus and left it with a nasty scar, but when I asked about this in the past (on these forums) I was told BNs are perfectly fine with discii and wouldn't do that. Angus
Hi Blue I read it in a book by Jack Wattley. It also said not to keep clown loaches with discus, again because they are nocturnal and will keep the poor wee discus awake at night But i've had my four loaches with my discus for close to two years and all are happy..... by and large the loaches tend to leave the discus alone during the night Hence my question really Thanks for the reply Cheers Angus
Wok
I've had 9 bn with my 3 discus and there seems to be no problems.
BK
Jack knows best but he's talking top notch fish for breeding. If it works in your tank it works don't change something you are happy with because of what you've read. I have my Discus by themselves for breeding but a couple of small ones that I'm not interested in breeding are going to go in with a pair of Angles which Jack also says shouldn't be done. freshwest
I had problems with my b/nose cleaning my discus . The problem may have been there was no algae in the tank . Will try again .
