wasp
Wow! All the effort I'm putting in trying to grow those things, and there they are, just laying around! Does anyone keep reef tanks over there? (other than the commercial exporters)

RnB
IMHO lots of reefs look brown in person... the collecters collect the "colourfull ones.. from the brown reefs! exceptions are places like Tioman island - reefs are technicolour, - like photoshop piccies! poor knights island - awesome - and temperate water! ie. if you choose the 10 ten dive sites you will see lots of colour.... average reef = quite a few brown corals! Fay
We made some lovely friends and they are going to post a disk of all the underwater photos he took, they are from Sydney and are long time divers and great fun. will post them up when I get them. Jetski we are going to go back next year it took 5 days to pass the dive course and we had three dives on the reef, but they have heaps of sites to dive on. We did 3 off shore dives in the course and even that was great.
wasp
Yes I remember being a little dissapointed when I dove in Indonesia, most of the stuff was brown, even the anemones. I think it's like my wifes flower garden. She wants it to look great so she buys all the colorful stuff. So coral collectors are going to target the nice colors also.
