Kriber
How ya all doin'? I'm about to embark on my 2nd foray into the fish keeping game. My first tank lasted a few years but I lost interest when I got to High School. It was fun trying to run a tank on about $2 a week plus b'day presents. I had a freshwater tropical setup and unfortunately kept a lot of species as single species and 'schools' consisted of about 4 individuals. This time round my tanks a little bigger 36 x 18 x 18 (vs 30 x 12 x12) and I can honestly say that it's the best setup aquarium in the country - it is on the garage floor and contains a good assortment of hydrogen and oxygen atoms combined together to from water, and that's it! (just testing it for leaks! If my friend finishes making the stand, soon I'll be able to keep fish rather than just read shit loads about them on the net. Catch you all later, Kriber
Pegasus
Hi there Kriber, welcome to the forum. I know EXACTLY how you feel looking at a fishless tank and dreaming of what might be in the future. I sat looking at a theee foot for around six weeks before I had the chance to fill it with water and test for leaks. Even then it was a couple of weeks after until I was able to put fish in, mainly because I couldn't get out to find a decent fishy place, but finished up ordering online. Those days are gone (thank goodness) and my first tank has has grown into quite a few more What fish do you intend to keep ? So many people lose interest after their first attempts, and we are real pleased that you decided to give it another go, and now that you've joined this forum you'll have lots of support to see you through any problems you may have. Regards, Bill (Pegasus)

Caryl
Hi there kriber and welcome. Another Christchurcher here on the board? Why don't you all form a club, or join the existing one?
Warren
I'm looking at my tank full of water too. In the same situation, - testing for leaks / tank breakage. Tank is in the drive (outside) just in case it breaks. Who wants 3000L in their house to suddenly let go!
Jadie
hello Kriber and welcome to the board~ I am new here too!! *wave wave* My gosh Pegasus, you must have really really GOOD self restraint to have a tank sitting there so long!! I would've been virtually itching to have fishies in it ASAP! I have very bad patience and always want things done immediately!! hehehe
