Jojo
Hi I am in the process of trying to get an external filter for my turtle tank. I am looking at Via Aqua and also Eheim. My main consideration would have to be how easy the filter is to use and clean etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks heaps Jo
Jo1
Go Eheim, they last forever. If money is no object I would get a thermo filter and then you don't have to worry about heaters breaking. We have a friend with one and it goes really well for his 2 16 year olds.
chimera
Eheim gets my vote, pay a little more now and you wont regert it
Aqua
I've only had a Fluval, and that was good, other than the primer... But I've been told at least a million times that Eheim are the best!
Snowman
I would definetly say Eheim, i have a new one and a 3 yr old second hand one, new impellor in the s/hand one and its new again : -)> Never had probs with either one.
Lucid
I am gonna go against the flow again here and say Jebo, as I have had mine a few months now and it is a dream, so quiet, so efficiant and cheaper too, i was also recommended the brand by a friend who had been using one on his turtle tank for a couple of years. B No opinion on the others as I have never used them.
Caryl
I now have 2 Jebos and am very happy with them.
Pies
Ehiem or Fluval. I've had Jebo & Resun etc and they start out well but don't last the test of time. YMMV. Pie
Aquatopia
Eheim thermofilters without a doubt - they rock and are easy to maintain. Especially the professional ones.
chimera
IMO, DO NOT buy Resun. They appear cheap - and thats because they are. Eheim just dont leak and run forever because they use such top quality parts (and hence why they've made a good name for themselves) Dont risk losing your tank because of a leaking hose adaptor from an inferior product. BTW, you also see other manufacturers using Eheim pumps on their product (eg: Korallin) You'd almost think I had shares in Eheim....
HummingBird
I've got two external eheims, both of them work like a charm, I've never had any problems with them.
