Im pondering getting a LED light, coral sand, refractometer and putting a clownfish in there. i want this as a starter tank to get into marine.my three questions are1. is this tank just too small?2. do i need a powerhead or as my external filter is powerful enough will this do?3 is a protein skimmer compulsory Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, minimum suggested size for a beginner is 200-300.2. Can't say for sure with out some kind of details, but generally you shouldn't be using an external filter with a marine tank.3. Yes.
