alienara2
Hey all,Was a member of this forum ages ago but didn't have space for an aquarium back then. Have recently moved into a house with a small pond and the filter / pump isn't working. Pond has 4 goldfish in it and lots of algae.I'm trying to create a balanced ecosystem in the pond so need to get some oxygenators, duckweed and malayan snails. Anyone around West Akld selling or have so much that they're willing to spare some? Thanks in advance. Benjansss
Malayan trumpets should be kept in cold water they are tropical they will suvive in cold water but do very badly and not live for nearly as long
alienara2
You're right! Totally forgot about that. Perhaps ramshorn is a better alternative?

Caryl
I don't know what it's like in Auckland but down here I get my oxygen weed from the river that runs through the middle of our town. It is free!

Thinking about getting ambulia for the pond but since it's outdoors and ambulia is tropical, does it matter much to them?
Caryl
It will matter to the ambulia but I am not sure what grows outdoors up there.
