junglejim
Hi guys, one more question. I have a 190L tank and am about to set it up. I was going to go to Muriwai to get a load of seawater for it. Is this a bad idea? Thanks
Morcs
Hi guys, one more question. I have a 190L tank and am about to set it up. I was going to go to Muriwai to get a load of seawater for it. Is this a bad idea? Thanks Given the amount of surf its probably not going to be that clean unless you get out very far. Takapuna boat ramp tends to be the popular spot. junglejim
Thanks Morcs, Good idea with Takapuna. I know it's a bit rough with surt, but would it not just be sand that would settle out or do you think there are other nasties lurking in the mix? Thanks
livingart
on a high tide is best so long as water is clean no worries
hovmoller
I've collected water at both Muriwai and Piha before... good water even when conditions are rough but man what a mission to carry buckets to the car.
