It is 1.4metres long with a canister filter so the water all along the back and the opposite end moves well. But at the end where the output is, in the opposite corner I did a water test deep today and it was 0.25 for ammonia. Water at top and the other end is 0 and has been for four months So I'm wondering if the water in that corner just isn't moving. Have just done a 50% change , moved all my driftwood and cleaned it like no ones business then put another oxygen wall right along that end of the tank. Will that be enough or would I be better to get a small internal filter and aim it right across the tank into that corner and would that create too much current for the discus? smidey Posted February 24, 2014 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 if you have the spraybar and outlet at the same end aiming down the length of the tank it'll create a nice "down and back" flow. you may want to be conscious of how you arrange the wood etc so they don't trap debris as well preventing it from getting to the outlet.
