alanmin4304
If it has started leaking then the silicone has deteriorated. If a tank is made properly the glue holding the tank together should be enough to make it water tight without the filet. Your tank could be ready to fall apart so replacing the filet will not be what you need. My advice would be to pull the tank apart, clean the rtv from the glass and reglue it. A one sided razor blade will do the job. It is such a pain doing this that we used to charge about as much to do this as a new tank but you can do it if you have the patience. An easier solution would be to convert it to a terrarium and get a lizard.

Adrienne
Both the above are correct in that Greg can repair them and that the cost of getting him to do so, because of the amount of time involved, is around the cost of a new tank. David R
Adrienne is right, I would think that with a small tank like that the cost of the glass that Greg gets will be less than the time it would take to disassemble your tank and reglue it. Give him a call or email and get a price for a new tank of the dimensions you want, then flick your leaky one off to someone who wants frogs or lizards.
